Background of the Study
Secondary school admission processes in Mangu LGA, Plateau State, are often characterized by administrative inefficiencies, delays, and limited access to data-driven decision-making tools. Many schools struggle to handle the large volume of applicants and ensure fair, transparent, and efficient selection processes. AI-based decision support systems offer a promising solution to streamline the admission process by leveraging machine learning algorithms to evaluate student applications based on predefined criteria such as academic performance, attendance, and socio-economic background (Oluwaseun & Ladi, 2023). This study aims to investigate how AI-based decision support systems can enhance the secondary school admission process in Mangu LGA, Plateau State, making it more efficient and transparent.
Statement of the Problem
The secondary school admission process in Mangu LGA, Plateau State, is often inefficient due to the manual handling of applications, lack of standardized criteria, and limited decision-making support.
